The Examination Content Outlines and Blueprints are used to develop the certification examinations for each of the medical genetics and genomics specialties. The Outlines, developed by committees of Board-Certified specialists, define the content categories that will be reflected on the general and specialty examinations. The blueprints determine the approximate percentages of items from each content category included on the corresponding specialty certification exam.
