Scheduling the Test Site

Once an application has been approved, ABMGG will email eligible candidates a letter granting them Active Candidate Status. Approximately three (3) months prior to the examination date, ABMGG will send a second email to eligible candidates on how to schedule the examinations. Please ensure that the name on your scheduling email exactly matches the name on your required ID; if there is a discrepancy, notify the ABMGG office at abmgg@abmgg.org.

Examinations will need to be scheduled at an available time slot on the dates specified for each examination. While most examinees will be able to take their exams as scheduled, each center is different and there may be unanticipated circumstances which delay the start time for an exam on the scheduled date. Examinees are encouraged to build some flexibility into their personal schedules to account for this possibility. No special consideration will be given to examinees who experience delayed start times which do not compromise the total allotted time available to complete an exam.

Should difficulties at a test site or other emergencies prohibit an examinee from taking an examination on their scheduled date, the examinee must contact the ABMGG Administrative Office within 24 hours to report the problem.

Examination irregularities or other circumstances warranting special consideration will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis at the sole discretion of the ABMGG.

Register for a Seat

After gaining active candidate status from the ABMGG, it’s time to begin preparing for the exams! The first step is to register for an exam seat at a Pearson VUE location.

Upon receipt of the scheduling email, candidates must schedule their examinations with Pearson VUE directly. Scheduling can be done via phone by calling 1-800-507-7744 Monday through Friday 7 AM to 7 PM Central Time or by visiting https://home.pearsonvue.com/. Once scheduling is complete, you will receive via email a confirmation email including the exam date, time, and location.

Confirmation

After you register, Pearson VUE will provide a confirmation letter by email which will include a confirmation number and directions to your testing center. This is sufficient to confirm your seat. If you have any questions or concerns, contact Pearson VUE directly at (800) 871-9189.

Withdrawing

If you withdraw or are unable to take the exams, please notify the ABMGG and cancel your Pearson VUE appointments.

System Overview

At the test center, you will be provided with a short tutorial to complete before taking your examination. Prior to that time, you can access a brief overview of the examination software here.
